about

Artwork by my Mom, how about that?
This is a beautiful album. I had my dream studio (admittedly I wasn't dreaming big) and the title is based on the feeling I had of exploring the cosmos from a fixed position—something I hadn't felt to that degree since the day when I was 19 and played the organ for so long that I felt my Self get washed away by a cosmic wind and then I went to my friend JP's house and he said "were you playing the organ earlier? I could feel it."

A fun moment with this one was when somebody who apparently had wanted to make out with me came over and I played them this album and they said "I cringed when you asked if I wanted to hear your music because usually that ends up amounting to bullshit, but this is good! Like, Radiohead-good!"

Or when my neighbors, also musicians, were outside having drinks while I worked on the opening track and when I stepped out for a cig they said "you've been really dialing those chimes in all day, huh?" The answer is I'M DIALING CHIMES IN FOR ALL OF TIME.
